About me.

Hi, I’m Betty S. Allen - a faith-filled storyteller with a heart full of words and a deep love of stories that inspire, uplift and transform.

By given name, I’m Sabrina but I write under the pen name Betty in loving memory of my grandmother, the woman that started my obsession with butterflies and pennies that are heads up.

I currently live in the Metro-Atlanta area, where I juggle writing, crafting and Friday night dance parties with my husband and our two favorite little humans. My storytelling is deeply rooted in family, identity and resilience, shaped by my journey as an Air Force BRAT, a proud Georgia State University alumna, and a woman continually growing in grace.

When I’m not working on my latest manuscript, you can find me learning alongside fellow creatives as a member of both the Atlanta Writers Club and the Georgia Writers Association. Whether I’m writing fiction, sharing blog reflections, or delivering a monthly dose of story and soul through my newsletter, my hope is always the same: to offer words that help you feel seen, anchored, and uplifted.

Thanks for being here — it means more than you know.

Black women's fiction author, blending themes of faith, healing, and cultural identity.
